Plant Nutrition - PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Plants are autotrophic organisms; this means they produce their own food. 

Plants perform PHOTOSYNTHESIS during the day. They use sunlight, water, minerals and carbon dioxide from the air.

Plants perform PLANT RESPIRATION during the night. They take oxygen from the air and produce carbon dioxide.
